We launched our 2025-2026 SMAC Program and just completed three Module I: The Spine, Assessment & Treatment of Injury classes in Vienna and California, with raving
success!
SMAC PROGRAM
Assessment and Treatment of Injuries Module II: The Low Back, Hip and Groin, San Diego Location, we
opened a second section July 10-13. We also still have a few seats left in the Module II class running June 5-8 at VUIM in Vienna, VA so register soon to reserve your seat!
ALL SMAC CLASSES ARE IN TWO LOCATIONS—VIRGINIA & CALIFORNIA!
All live in-person courses will be offered near Mission Bay in San Diego, California, at the Marina Village
Conference Center, as well as the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine in Vienna, Virginia, just a short drive from Dulles International Airport!

**As a reminder, this will be Matt Callison’s last
SMAC Program as head instructor. The SMAC program will continue with other expertly qualified instructors, who are both master practitioners and gifted educators of Sports Medicine Acupuncture. As always, we will continue to provide the highest level of training in our field and Matt will continue to direct all programming along with teaching advanced intensive in-person classes. If you’ve been thinking about starting the program, now is the time to start!
Keep in mind...
- You have two entire program years to complete all required classes if you are pursuing the certification track AND you do not need to start with any particular module or take modules in order.
- Participants also have the option to matriculate
in SMAC Program classes at any time and to take individual courses either in-person or online.
- The 4 required live, in-person only classes are now being offered on two coasts-in San Diego, CA and Vienna, VA!
- All live, in-person and recorded courses are NCCAOM and CAB CEU/PDA approved!
- If pursuing the certification track, just purchase the in-person classes
and online courses and submit proof of completion of online courses to acusortinfo@gmail.com. It’s that easy! And you can decide at any time to pursue this track!

CANADA NEXT MONTH!
Assessment & Treatment of the Neck and Shoulder
On May 3-4, 2025, we’re heading back to West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster, BC, Canada for the Assessment & Treatment of the Neck and Shoulder! In this 2-day course, practitioners will learn how injuries to the neck will often involve shoulder symptoms and conversely, shoulder pain frequently stems from the
cervical spine. Common neck and shoulder injuries that will be discussed include: cervical degeneration, fallen pillow syndrome (luozhen), cervical strain and sprain, muscle tension headaches, rotator cuff and bicipital tendinopathy, as well as common muscle imbalance syndromes that are contributing factors to many other neck and shoulder injuries. You will leave this class with skills you can immediately integrate into the clinic on a daily basis!
