ACUPUNCTURE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM UPDATE
MODULE III ASSESSMENT & TREATMENT OF INJURY—THE LOWER EXTREMITY
In this hands-on, practical class, you will learn how and why injuries involving the lower extremity are due to an imbalance in the lumbo-pelvic hip region, as well as the ankle/foot complex. The L.Ac will learn how to balance the relationship between these structures to provide lasting relief from pain and re-injury.
We will cover postural examination, orthopedic physical examinations and manual muscle testing. In addition, there is an additional focus on how to accurately differentiate radicular pain from referred pain, which is so common in the lower extremity! Innovative treatment protocols will be introduced consisting of advanced needle and myofascial techniques to affected tissues and
channels!

NEW CANADA CLASS ALERT
On November 22-23, we’re heading to Toronto for the 2-day practical, hand on class, Assessment & Treatment of the Low Back &
Hip.
Practitioners taking this class will learn to observe, assess and treat the low back and hip as one complex as injury to the low back will often involve hip symptoms and conversely, hip pain frequently stems from the lumbar spine. Imbalance of the musculature acting on the hip and low back will
be taught along with innovative treatment protocols to help correct these muscle imbalances and provide lasting pain relief. We will examine injuries from a mechanical “how and why” using orthopedic physical evaluations and manual muscle testing to assess the integrity of the musculoskeletal system while keeping treatments grounded in the framework of Chinese Medicine. Advanced needle techniques, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitated stretching and myofascial release techniques are also
presented and practiced.
